He married Aletta Elizabeth Conradie, daughter of Pieter Jacobus Conradie and Catharina Maria Viljoen, on November 8, 1789 in Tulbagh, Western Cape. She was born on January 28, 1769 in Dist. Worcester, Western Cape and died on April 21, 1846 in Onbedacht, Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 77.

Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on December 23, 1849 in Matjiesvlei, Dist. Murraysburg, Western Cape at the age of 43. He married Francina Philippina Retief (aunt’s sister), daughter of Francois Retief and Margaretha Joubert, on March 4, 1827 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She was baptized on January 15, 1809 and died on June 6, 1879 in Rietpoort, Dist. Murraysburg, Western Cape at the age of 70.

She married Gustav Zacharias Erlank (second cousin’s step-daughter’s brother-in-law), son of Andries Gustaf Erlank and Anna Maria Catharina Bisschoff, on December 27, 1852 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. He was born on January 30, 1833 and died on March 15, 1909 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 76.
