Willem Jacobus Burgers, son of Barend Jacobus Burger and Elisabeth Magdalena Theron, was born on January 28, 1828 and died on May 8, 1892 at the age of 64. Johanna Sophia Burgers, daughter of Willem Jacobus Burgers and Elsje Jacoba Pienaar, was born calculated September 1850 in Camdeboo, Dist. She married Cornelius Willem Petrus “Lang Kerneels” Cloete (father’s step-mother’s uncle’s great-grandson), son of Daniel Francois Cloete and Hester Aletta Burger, on May 26, 1869 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. He was born on May 23, 1846 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on October 23, 1929 in Glen Almond, Barkly East, Eastern Cape at the age of 83.

Willem Jacobus Cloete, son of Cornelius Willem Petrus “Lang Kerneels” Cloete and Johanna Sophia Burgers, was born on June 5, 1872 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on November 1, 1937 in Barkly East, Eastern Cape at the age of 65. He married 2 times. The first time he married Jacoba Ritchie Erlank (mother’s great-uncle’s granddaughter), daughter of Andries Gustaf Erlank and Susanna Sophia Ritchie. The second time he married Cornelia Susanna “Nellie” Wessels on April 25, 1907 in Winburg, Free State. She was born calculated 1873 in and died on July 24, 1956 in Mutare, Zimbabwe.

Pieter John Cloete, son of Cornelius Willem Petrus “Lang Kerneels” Cloete and Johanna Sophia Burgers, was born on March 22, 1874 and died on July 7, 1937 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape at the age of 63. He married Hester Aletta Joubert (first cousin), daughter of Daniel Francois Joubert and Maria Magdalena Cloete,. She was born on December 3, 1882 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on March 8, 1948 at the age of 65.

Elsje Jacoba Cloete, daughter of Cornelius Willem Petrus “Lang Kerneels” Cloete and Johanna Sophia Burgers, was born on March 28, 1876 and died on January 31, 1946 in Zastron, Free State at the age of 69. She married Barend Francois Stevens.
