Jaques Therond.

Jacques Therond, son of Jaques Therond, was born on May 15, 1668 in Nîmes, Occitanie, France and died on December 1, 1739 in Land van Waveren, Tulbagh, Western Cape at the age of 71. Marie Theron, daughter of Jacques Therond and Marie-Jeanne des Pres, was born on August 7, 1698 in Drakenstein, Western Cape and died on May 30, 1781 in Tulbagh, Western Cape at the age of 82. Jean “Johannes” Theron, son of Jacques Therond and Marie-Jeanne des Pres, was born on April 30, 1712 and died in December 1788 in Tulbagh, Western Cape at the age of 76. He married Maria Pretorius (sister-in-law), daughter of Lodewyk Pretorius and Maria Rossouw, on May 9, 1734 in Paarl, Western Cape. She was baptized on December 9, 1714 in Drakenstein, Western Cape and died on July 4, 1783 in Tulbagh, Western Cape at the age of 68.

Thomas Arnoldus Theron, son of Jacques Therond and Marie-Jeanne des Pres, was born on May 11, 1716 and died in 1790 at the age of 73. He married 2 times. He married Magdalena Marais (niece’s sister-in-law), daughter of Charles Marais and Maria Rossouw, on November 11, 1742 in Paarl, Western Cape. She was born about 1724 and died in 1805.
