Andries Gustaf Erlank, son of Andries Gustaf Erlank and Anna Maria Catharina Bisschoff, was born on June 13, 1824 in Sterkstroom, Queenstown, Eastern Cape. He married Susanna Sophia Ritchie (third cousin once removed descending), daughter of Thomas Ritchie and Anna Elizabeth Marais, on January 11, 1847 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She was born on July 13, 1827 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on May 26, 1887 in Sterkstroom, Queenstown, Eastern Cape at the age of 59.

She married Willem Jacobus Cloete (mother’s step-mother’s great-great-nephew), son of Cornelius Willem Petrus “Lang Kerneels” Cloete and Johanna Sophia Burgers.

She married Albert Grobbelaar du Toit (great-grandfather’s uncle’s great-great-nephew), son of Petrus Jacobus du Toit and Louisa Maria Grobbelaar, before 1891 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. Gustaaf Zacharias Erlank, farmer (to 1926), son of Gustav Zacharias Erlank and Anna Susanna Pienaar, was born on September 26, 1857 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on October 3, 1926 in Grysfontein, Dist.
