He married Anna Maria Ziervogel, daughter of Aegidius Benedictus Ziervogel and Beatrix Auret, on August 12, 1821 in Cape Town / Stellenbosch, Western Cape. She was born on February 23, 1804 in Cape Town, Western Cape and died about 1864.
