Joshua Joubert, farmer, son of Gideon Joubert and Margaretha de Villiers, was born about 1735. He married Maria Johanna Hugo (brother-in-law’s niece), daughter of Pierre Hugo and Anne Retief, on April 25, 1756 in Paarl, Western Cape. She was born about 1740 and died about 1779 in Paarl / Drakenstein, Western Cape.

Josua Francois Joubert, son of Joshua Joubert and Maria Johanna Hugo, was born in Wellington, Western Cape. He married 2 times. The first time he married Catharina Johanna Grundlingh on April 29, 1792. She died before 1811. The second time he married Francina Jacoba Joubert on April 7, 1811 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She was born about 1759.

Margaretha Joubert, daughter of Joshua Joubert and Maria Johanna Hugo, was born on April 17, 1768 in Wellington, Western Cape and died on July 4, 1813 in Cape Town, Western Cape at the age of 45. She married Gottfried Andreas Watermeyer (second cousin’s son-in-law), son of Bernhard Friedrich Watermeyer and Anna Catherine Nobiling, on March 24, 1793 in Paarl / Drakenstein, Western Cape. He was born on November 9, 1763 in Hamburg, Germany and died on April 13, 1832 at the age of 68.

Maria Jacoba Cornelia Joubert, daughter of Josua Francois Joubert and Catharina Johanna Grundlingh, was baptized on August 18, 1793 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She married Jan Anthonie van Niekerk (great-uncle’s son-in-law’s nephew-in-law), son of Cornelis van Niekerk and Elisabeth Goosen, on July 8, 1810 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. He was baptized on October 29, 1775.

Friedrich Stephanus Watermeyer, businessman, commissioner of Sequestration Dept and farmer, son of Gottfried Andreas Watermeyer and Margaretha Joubert, was born on February 25, 1797 in Cape Town, Western Cape and died on May 31, 1847 in Cape Town, Western Cape at the age of 50. He married Anna Maria Ziervogel, daughter of Aegidius Benedictus Ziervogel and Beatrix Auret, on August 12, 1821 in Cape Town / Stellenbosch, Western Cape. She was born on February 23, 1804 in Cape Town, Western Cape and died about 1864.
