He married Magdalena Anna du Plessis (aunt’s sister-in-law), daughter of Charl du Plessis and Maria van Ellewee, on December 20, 1761 in Paarl, Western Cape. She was baptized on November 18, 1742 in Paarl, Western Cape.

He was born calculated March 1765 and died on December 18, 1841.

He was baptized on March 19, 1790 and died on February 6, 1856 in Kapokfontein, Smithfield, Free State at the age of 65.
