Phillipus du Plessis, son of Johannes du Plessis and Anna Claudina Roux, was baptized on April 4, 1762 in Tulbagh, Western Cape and died on July 20, 1839 in Tulbagh, Western Cape at the age of 77. He married Maria Magdalena Myburgh (step-mother’s father’s great-niece), daughter of Willem Myburgh and Elizabeth Olivier, on December 5, 1790. She was baptized on April 6, 1755.

    1. Maria Magdalena du Plessis, daughter of Phillipus du Plessis and Maria Magdalena Myburgh, was baptized on August 16, 1795 in Tulbagh, Western Cape. She married Philippus Arnoldus du Plessis (first cousin), son of Johannes Petrus du Plessis and Susanna Johanna de Wet, on June 5, 1813. He was baptized on August 21, 1791 in Tulbagh, Western Cape and died on March 23, 1860 in Camdeboo, Dist. Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 68.

He was born on December 30, 1809.
