    1. Anna Sophia van der Merwe, daughter of Hendrik van der Merwe and Anna Sophia van der Merwe, was born on March 30, 1810. She married 2 times. The first time she married Jan Frederick Johannes Combrink (great-aunt’s aunt’s grandson), son of Jan Frederik Combrink and Christina Koen, on March 4, 1827 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. He was baptized on October 9, 1803 in Cape Town, Western Cape. The second time she married Alwyn Jacobus Dippenaar (first cousin’s son-in-law’s uncle), son of Michaelis Christoffel Dippenaar and Anna Smit, on August 16, 1852 in Bloemfontein, Free State. He was born on December 20, 1792 in Dist. Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on December 9, 1853 in Dist. Bloemfontein, Free State at the age of 60.
