    1. Willem Jacobus Burger, son of Barend Jacobus Johannes Burger and Jacoba Johanna Theron, was born on January 17, 1829 in Vleiplaats, Dist. Murraysburg, Western Cape and died on January 27, 1911 in Murraysburg, Western Cape at the age of 82. He married Elisabeth Magdalena Theron (first cousin), daughter of Thomas Francois Theron and Martha Magdalena van der Merwe, on June 25, 1849 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She was born on April 15, 1830.
