Albertus Grobbelaar, son of Johannes Jacobus Grobbelaar and Elizabeth Margaretha van Jaarsveld, was born on July 2, 1792 and died on April 9, 1846 in Over-Sneeuberg, Dist. Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 53. He married 2 times. The first time he married Elisabeth Johanna Susanna Meintjies on December 30, 1810 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She was baptized on October 20, 1793. The second time he married Susanna Elizabeth Maartens (great-uncle’s niece-in-law’s father’s great-niece), daughter of Matthys Daniel Maartens and Susanna Haarhof, on April 9, 1815 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. She was born in 1798 in Buffelshoek, Dist. Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on April 30, 1866 in Pretoriuskloof, Dist. Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 68.

Louisa Maria Grobbelaar, daughter of Albertus Grobbelaar and Susanna Elizabeth Maartens, was born on March 10, 1838 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on February 12, 1918 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 79. She married Petrus Jacobus du Toit (great-uncle’s second cousin’s son), son of Daniël Stephanus du Toit and Susara Maria van Straaten, on April 27, 1857 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. He was born on March 15, 1833 in Groenkloof, Dist. Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape and died on March 25, 1900 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 67.

Susanna Elizabeth du Toit, daughter of Petrus Jacobus du Toit and Louisa Maria Grobbelaar, was born on March 26, 1858 and died on May 7, 1937 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 79. She married Gideon Johannes Theron (brother-in-law), son of Pieter Andreas Theron and Magdalena Elizabeth Nieuwoudt, on November 5, 1888 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape.
