    1. Elsje Johanna Joubert, daughter of Johannes Petrus “Jan” Joubert and Maria Magdalena van den Berg, was born on December 5, 1797 in Dist. Swellendam, Western Cape and died on July 16, 1843 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 45. She married Johannes Nieuwoudt (first cousin’s brother-in-law), son of Johannes Nieuwoudt and Anna Minnaar, on July 5, 1818 in Swellendam, Western Cape. He was born on April 17, 1764 in Dist. Swellendam, Western Cape and died on October 25, 1855 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape at the age of 91.
