    1. Gerrit Nieuwoudt, son of Gerrit Willemse and Johanna “Anna” van Wyk, was born on December 17, 1716 and died about 1797. He married Johanna Steenkamp (great-niece’s sister-in-law’s great-grandfather’s daughter), daughter of Jan “Harmensz” Steenkamp and Geesje “Gesina” Visser, on April 26, 1739 in Drakenstein, Western Cape. She was baptized on October 4, 1716.
