He was baptized on October 20, 1781 and died on May 11, 1864 in Boshof, Free State at the age of 82.

She married Rudolph Marthinus Brits (brother-in-law), son of Rudolph Brits and Johanna Petronella Oosthuizen, on January 11, 1801 in Cape Town, Western Cape. He was born calculated June 10, 1782 and died on November 1, 1868 in Zuurfontein, Dist. Bloemfontein, Free State.
