    1. Johannes Nicolaas “Johan” Brits, son of Gerrit Brits and Barbara Maria Roets, was baptized on February 21, 1790 and died on April 7, 1875 in Brits, North West Province at the age of 85. He married Anna Johanna Wilken on October 30, 1815 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape.
