She married Rudolph Marthinus Brits (first cousin once removed ascending), son of Rudolph Brits and Johanna Petronella Oosthuizen, on October 6, 1833 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. He was born calculated June 10, 1782 and died on November 1, 1868 in Zuurfontein, Dist. Bloemfontein, Free State.

    2. Magdalena Catharina Gesina Brits, daughter of Johannes Jacobus Brits and Anna Maria Botha, was born on December 28, 1823. She married Albertus Hendrik Adriaan du Toit (uncle’s great-aunt’s great-great-nephew), son of Francois Jacobus “Frans” du Toit and Elsie Susanna Grobbelaar, on September 11, 1879 in Boshof, Free State. He was born on October 2, 1810 and died on March 14, 1885 in Varkfontein, Dist. Boshof, Free State at the age of 74.

    3. Roedolph Johannes van Niekerk, son of Adam Adriaan van Niekerk and Margaretha Elizabeth Brits, was born on August 26, 1824. He married Aletta Maria van Niekerk (second cousin), daughter of Jan Albert van Niekerk and Aletta Margaretha van der Merwe,. She was born on February 28, 1826 and died on March 27, 1886 in Edenburg, Free State at the age of 60.
