She married Thomas Arnoldus Theron (step-mother’s aunt’s great-nephew), son of Thomas Arnoldus Theron and Louisa Jacoba Meyer, on May 23, 1842 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape. He was born on November 25, 1820 and died on September 14, 1900 in Lady Grey, Eastern Cape at the age of 79.
