Citation details: Gravestone: Vipan Maitland WATERMEYER (1870-1939), http://www.graves-at-eggsa.org/main.php?g2_itemId=2989218 : accessed 12 Sep 2015 Shared note: Birth date: Vipan Maitland WATERMEYER (1869-1939) Birth date: Vipan Maitland WATERMEYER (1869-1939) He died on 22 Feb 1939, at an age of 69y 5m (previous death notice anulled stated 8m). The calculated date of birth is therefore towards the end of Sep 1869. This is in line with the birth date on his baptism record as 12 Oct 1869. The gravestone states he is born on 14 Oct 1870. It would be surprising if the date he celebrated his birthday was not remembered well by his surviving family (although there might be an error in the year). |
