Henning Johannes Viljoen, son of Albertus Viljoen and Johanna Elizabeth Griesel, was baptized on December 20, 1778 in Dist. Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.
He married Jacoba Christina Jacobs, daughter of Johannes Jacobs and Jacomina Scholtz, on November 9, 1800. She was baptized on July 14, 1786 and died on May 16, 1834 in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape, South Africa at the age of 47.
